Annabelle Anderson, an 18-year-old woman from Tennessee in the United States, became a sensation on TikTok after revealing that she was born without toenails on her big toes.

Initially, Annabelle invented imaginative stories to hide this feature, but the decision to share her reality on the internet brought a wave of self-confidence and acceptance.
She explained that she suffered from amniotic band syndrome in the womb, which resulted in the loss of some bones and toenails on her big toes. Although she was never extremely insecure about her foot, Annabelle admitted that during her high school years, she told various stories about the absence of her toenails to avoid repeating the same explanation.
The turning point came when Annabelle decided to post a video online showing her condition. To her surprise, the video went viral, and she began receiving countless messages from people who shared the same condition. “After my first video went viral, I started receiving many messages from people who also didn’t have toenails on their big toes. It was strange, but I found out that we had the same foot,” said Annabelle.
This experience not only made her realize she wasn’t alone but also inspired her to continue making videos. Annabelle discovered that her story helped others feel more confident and accepted, a motivation she deeply values. “I would never want anyone to feel insecure or ashamed for not having toenails on their big toes,” she emphasized.
Today, Annabelle has over 66,000 followers on TikTok and nearly 10 million likes, proving that honesty and authenticity can create deep connections and have a positive impact on social media.
